Our Mission
White Pass Foundation Learn to Ski Program
The White Pass Foundation Learn to Ski Program opens the mountain to middle school students, offering a free, life-changing experience that builds confidence, skills, and a love of outdoor adventure.
We believe skiing should be accessible to all, regardless of background or income. That’s why we provide everything students need—gear, clothing, food, transportation, and lift tickets—at no cost.
Each February and March, over 100 students from Yakima, Naches, East Valley, and White Pass schools join us on the slopes. Guided by 20 volunteer coaches, they learn more than skiing—they discover resilience, teamwork, and joy.
Founded in 2022, the White Pass Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a SafeSport-certified organization committed to youth development and safety.
